The question is deep and important when we touch on culture, education, economics and generational evolution. The issue might be that  a nation is raising a frustrated and weak Cultural values, this therefore signifies a simple yes-or-no though it might be explored from various angles.

Generation tend to be divided according to time spans of about 20-25 years.Originally, this period indicated the average period that of his or her child; today, however, the classification of different generations is mainly cultural. This is why there’s no uniformity of judgement among academics, and membership in one group or birth or the other may also depend on place of birth and sociocultural background.
However, the most commonly identified generations include; the lost generation of 1883-1900, the baby Boomers of 1946-1964,the generation X of 1965-1980, the millennials generation the Gen.Y of 1981-1996, the Gen. Z of 1997-2012 and Gen.Alpha of 2012- to date.
Some ideal observations suggest a potential trend of young Kenyans display a reduced sense of responsibility, it’s to avoid generalizations. The recent protest against the finance Bill, driven largely by youth, demonstrate a strong sense of civic engagement and a desire for accountability. This indicates a generation that, while facing challenges,is also actively seeking to shape its future and hold those in power accountable.
Further, there are also concerns about a perceived sense of entitlement and a reluctance to take on certain responsiblities, particularly in the the face of economic hardships. Some observers point to a sense of entitlement among some young Kenyans, expecting solutions and opportunities without willingness to contribute or work hard.
There are concerns about a growing dependence on government hand-outs and a reluctance to embrace self-reliance, particularly in the face of economic challenges.
It’s worth to note that some in this generation show resemblance to or reluctance to engage in an open and honest discussion or dialogue based on societal issues and further fear avoidance of difficult conversation about personal responsibility.
To shade light on whether or not, present generation to a larger percentage do not fear responsibility because it’s their responsibility to spear-head strong sense of civic engagement and desire for greater government and accountability,Kenyan youth are actively involved in online and offline movements advocating for social justice, transparency, and better governace. This therefore outlines greater responsibility where none would not have come out to pinpoint such weakness. They have to a larger extend outshined irresponsibility.
The recent protest against the Finance Bill, spearheaded by youth, demonstrates a strong sense of civic engagement and a desire for greater government accountability. This therefore shows a living testimony of responsibility among the Kenyan generation.Much as been seen and witnessed by later generations though little as been done to put the government on its toes and to pursue its course of responsibility. It is true the young generations have exercised its responsibility by letting the government or later generations exercise its mandate.
Kenyan youth are well informed and actively involved on the social media.Due to this, there are focused on the ill motives effecting the society they live in.They are aware of social injustices affecting the society either from their government or their environments. They have shouted on the top of the hills by pinpointing,as such also affect them.Transparency, accountability and over and above corruption are the key dangers that derail their future. Many young Kenyans are actively working to create a better future for themselves, their country, demanding equitable and just society. These have led them come out in large numbers to shape their destiny by taking responsibility to face the harsh consequences.
Finally, while there are valid concerns about a potential decline in personal responsibility among some young generations, it’s of importance to recognize significant role or responsibility they are displaying in driving positive change. The recent protests and activism demonstrate a generation that is engaged, informed, and determined to shape their country’s future. The main key factor is to find an equilibrium between addressing the challenges and celebrating the positive contributions of the generation.
